Terms of Service

These terms cover Chowdown (app.chowdown.me), Fuel by Chowdown (fuel.chowdown.me) and Fuel Pro. Chowdown is run by Diego Cuñado García in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Contact: help@chowdown.me.

1. The service

Chowdown helps you log meals and track macros, with AI photo analysis, meal ideas and Robin, an AI coach. Chowdown is free. Fuel lets nutrition coaches and personal trainers follow clients who use Chowdown. Fuel is free for up to 3 clients; Fuel Pro removes that limit.

2. Not medical advice

Chowdown, Fuel and Robin give general information about nutrition. They are not medical advice and do not replace a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional. AI estimates of calories and macros can be wrong; check anything important. Talk to a doctor before you change your diet if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of eating disorders.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 16 to use Chowdown or Fuel.
• Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• You own what you log. You give us the permission we need to store and process it to run the service.

4. Coaches

• You can only see a client's data after they accept your invitation or invite you. Use it only to coach them.
• You are responsible for the advice you give your clients and for holding any qualifications or insurance your work needs.
• If your client unlinks, you lose access to their data straight away.

5. Fuel Pro subscriptions

• Fuel Pro costs £29 per month or £290 per year, in pounds sterling, charged in advance.
• Founding coach price: the first 50 coaches who subscribe to Fuel Pro pay £15 per month or £150 per year instead. You keep the founding price for as long as your subscription stays active, including if you switch between monthly and yearly. If you cancel and subscribe again later, the price at that time applies.
• Payments are processed by Stripe's reseller, Link, which acts as the merchant of record and handles VAT and sales tax. Prices include VAT where it applies; the tax shown at checkout depends on your country.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time in Fuel. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then your account goes back to the free plan. Clients beyond the free limit stay linked, but you cannot add new ones.
• If you are a consumer in the UK, you can cancel within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. After that, payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
• We will tell you at least 30 days before any price change to an active subscription. The new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then. We will not raise the founding coach price while your subscription stays active.

6. Fair use

Do not misuse the service: no harassment, spam, illegal content, attempts to access other people's data, or automated scraping. We can suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Changes and availability

We work to keep Chowdown and Fuel running, but we cannot promise they will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features. If we stop Fuel Pro, we will refund the unused part of any period you paid for.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £50 if you paid nothing.

9. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time by emailing help@chowdown.me; coaches can also delete their Fuel account in Fuel's Settings. We may close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you can also bring claims in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
